ABOUT “LICENSING”
In terms of
“LICENSING”, IMPA gives top priority for licensing. All Filmmakers will
have an apprehension that if their film streams live, they might lose
the possible distribution deals. The correct route is to use a
license avoiding streaming live and not on-demand. License is
transactional in revenue only for the maximum benefit. By
this licensing, it will not conflict the rights that most
of the distributors acquire, which are video-on-demand. You should know that
the “Live Streams” that are transactional in their business model
definitely fall in a grey of distribution. With this, the system can
potentially put filmmakers and distributors at ease. In this manner, IMPA
avoided Live Streams and Live Film Festival to help the Film Makers particularly
those who submitted their Films which are not yet released in the theatre. This
system provides a level of protection against copyright theft of the
content.

Current Impa International Film Festival Bangalore is For The Month
of MAY – 2026
(1). Submission Opening Date: 1 st
of JUNE 2026.
(2). Final Deadline Date: 30 th of JUNE 2026.
(3). Award
Announcement: 31 st of JULY 2026 (Or at The Earliest).
(4). Level
of Competitions: There will be Three “LEVELS” of Competition for THE IMPA
AWARDS. The Applicants can contest in any one of the Level OR in any Two of the
Levels OR in all the 3 Levels as they wish.
First
Level: INTERNATIONAL Level Film Competition.
Second Level: NATIONAL
(Country) Level Film Competition.
Third Level: LANGUAGE
Level Film Competition.

Divisions of Competition: In each Level of Competition, there will be 3
Divisions of Competitions depending upon the Date of Release of the Film. Here,
in this case, only one option is available for the Applicant. Each Division is
a Separate Competition.
Division-1 =
From 1st January
2026 To 31st DECEMBER
2026.
Division-2 =
From 1st January
2025 To 31st December
2025.
Division-3 =
28th December 1895 To 31st December
2024.

Duration of The Film or Video: If your Film or Video (Any Type) is with a
minimum length / duration of even 1 second to an unlimited maximum length /
duration, you are eligible to contest in this IMPA International Film Festival
Bangalore. Absolutely NO restriction regarding Duration of The Film.
(7).
Sub-Division: The Film Submitter’s need not worry about this Sub-Division. This
will be decided by the IIFFB. For your kind information, with respect to the
Duration of the submitting Film or Video, the above said each Division is
divided into Sub-Divisions. As it is already known to you as said above, there
are 3 Divisions under each Level of Competition. Under each Division, there
will be a number of Sub-Divisions, which are based on the Duration of the Film
or Video. Each Sub-Division is for 2 Minutes Duration of the Film or Video and
the number of Sub-Division increases by adding additional 2 Minutes to the
previous one. For example: The 1st Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 2 Minutes or Less
Duration. The 2nd Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 4 Minutes and
above 2 Minutes Duration. The 3rd Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 6 Minutes and
above 4 Minutes Duration. The 4th Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 8 Minutes and
above 6 Minutes Duration. The 5th Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 10 Minutes and
above 8 Minutes Duration. These Sub-Divisions continue up to a Duration of 3
hours and above of the submitted Film or Video. Each Sub-Division is a
Separate Competition. Once the “Submission Form” is submitted to Impa, the
Selection Committee decides the “Sub-Division” Number based on the duration of
the Film or Video.
(8). All
Submitted Films or Videos shall be considered for “Impa Award” based on the
following 5 parameters: (1) Level of Competition, (2) Division of Competition,
(3) Sub-Division of Competition, (4) Type of the Film or Video and (5) Category
of the Award. If your Film or Video is good, 100% YOU will get IMPA
AWARD.
(9). Many more Categories of “IMPA AWARDS” are given, Please go through the website till the end.
(10). ALL
the films (Any Type) in any “Language” and from any “Country” of
The World which are in digital formats like DVD or USB Flash Drive (Pen
Drive) or uploaded into the Internet Cloud or in a Website or in an Online
Video Platform (OVP) like YouTube OR not yet Released Film in the theater
as on this date, Etc., are eligible for this IMPA International Film Festival
Bangalore. Just send the “URL” of the Film or Video to our Email and also
mention the URL in your Application Form. Submitting through DVD & Pen
Drive is for the “Applicant” who can come to “IMPA’s OFFICE” personally along
with a Laptop (To Safeguard Your Film). After showing the Film to the available
“Jury” in The Impa’s Office, they can take back their film along with them.
With this process, their Film Privacy is Totally Protected. If coming to IMPA’s
Office with DVD & Pen Drive Format is difficult, they can send them by
“courier” or
they can send MP4 Video Format via Email, if the film is not on the
Internet.
(11). All
the films (Any Type) which are going to be submitted for IMPA International Film
Festival Bangalore, shall have a “SUBTITLE” in English. It helps the Juries to
understand ‘The Film’ very clearly. But in a “REAREST CASE” IMPA accepts the
film without subtitle, in order to “Just” to help & support ‘The Film
Maker’.
THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE:

(13). For
Submission of your Film or Video there is “NO ENTRY FEE”. AS OF TODAY,
ALMOST ALL SUBMISSIONS HAVE RECEIVED THE IMPA AWARD in different categories.
(14). PLEASE READ THIS CONTENT CAREFULLY POINT BY POINT: 1] You please send your E-mail to us for Application Form. We will send IMPA AWARD SUBMISSION FORM to you via through our E-mail and fill the Form carefully. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE. Send the form to us immediately. Our Email is impavgg@gmail.com . 2] We send your submission form (Film or Video) to our jury members and we will get the result. 3] If the jury result is “NEGATIVE”, we will intimate to you in one or two days. 4] If the jury result is “POSITIVE” and your IMPA AWARD is GUARANTEED, we will send another application, where you will fill all the details once again. In few days you will receive the Communication.
(15). There
shall be NO “CASH PRIZE” in the Impa International Film Festival Bangalore. It
is ONLY the “recognition” Through Citation & Statuette by IMPA to support
the Film Makers.
(16). You
are eligible to contest in “Any Number of IMPA Award Categories” as
‘YOU WISH’. For each ‘IMPA Award Category’, you have to fill up a ‘Separate
Application Form’.
(17). Please
do all your correspondence with IMPA, only through the E-mail ID: impavgg@gmail.com . In case of any problem with
impavgg@gmail.com ,
please use: gildindia@rediffmail.com . This
gildindia@rediffmail.com can be
‘USED’ in the case of emergency ONLY.
(18). The
applicants should know that if the “Title Card” of the film is not in English
Language but in the Language in which the film is produced, in such case the
applicant should translate the whole Title Card of the film into “English
Language” and should submit to IMPA in Word Format. If the title card is in
English, in the submitted film, this clause is not applicable.
(19). IIFFB
is not going to exhibit films & videos without the submitter’s permission.
If a filmmaker decides not to show film or video online, we will place the film
or video into the private screening. All private films or videos are equally
qualified for all the awards applied for.
(20). All
films which are selected for the IIFFB will be informed only by emails. The
decision of the Selection & Juries committee will be the final. The winners
will be informed at the earliest possible by e-mail.
(21). The
Applicant also warrants that no part of the Film or Video is defamatory, that
it does not violate any person’s right of privacy, and that it does not incite
racial hatred or vilification. The submitted Film or Video should not contain
any Nudity or Explicit Sexual Content.
(22). The
applicant should confirm that he/she has the requisite authority or has
obtained the requisite authority from the producer / right holder to enter this
monthly online IIFFB and make available the Film or Video for screening. Under
NO circumstances, the authorities of Monthly Online Impa International Film
Festival Bangalore will entertain or be answerable to anyone other than the
applicant.

or VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Submit your Film or Video “DIRECTLY TO US”. NO
MIDDLE MAN IS THERE. Simply follow these “3 SIMPLE STEPS” to submit your Film
or Video.
[1]. Collect the “IMPA AWARD SUBMISSION FORM” from us by sending your E-mail us.
[2]. We will send The Submission Form to you through our E-mail and it is in Word Format. Fill up the Submission Form
without any mistake.

IMPA’s INVITATION To All
Film Makers
IMPA extends its ‘Invitation’ to all filmmakers of The Whole World for The IMPA International Film Festival Bangalore.
THREE LEVELS OF COMPETITION of IMPA AWARDS
Films or
Videos may be of any “TYPE” from any country of the world and in any language
of the world. There will
be 3 levels of competitions: 1. International Level Competition. 2.
Country (National) Level Competition. And 3. Language Level Competition. A
Film or Video produced by a Filmmaker is eligible to ‘CONTEST’ in all the above
said 3 ‘Levels of Competitions’ in this film festival. For example, you can
apply for the “BEST FILM” category award in all the above three levels of
competitions in this film festival. Each
Level of Competition is having 3 Divisions. Division-1 is for the Films made From
01-01-2025 To 31st December 2025. Division-2 is for the Films made From
01-01-2024 To 31st December 2024. Division-3 is for the Films made From
28-12-1895 To 31st December 2023. Each Division is a Separate Competition. With
respect to the Duration of the submitting Film or Video, the above said each
Division is divided into number of Sub-Divisions. Each Sub-Division is for 2 Minutes
Duration of the Film or Video and the number of Sub-Division increases by adding
additional 2 Minutes to the previous one. For example: The
1st Sub-Division is for the Films or Videos which are of a
maximum of 2 Minutes or Less Duration. The 2nd Sub-Division is
for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 4 Minutes and above 2 Minutes
Duration. The 3rd Sub-Division is for the Films or Videos which
are of a maximum of 6 Minutes and above 4 Minutes Duration. The 4th Sub-Division
is for the Films or Videos which are of a maximum of 8 Minutes and above 6
Minutes Duration. The 5th Sub-Division is for the Films or
Videos which are of a maximum of 10 Minutes and above 8 Minutes Duration. These
Sub-Divisions continue up to a Duration of 3 hours and above of the submitted
Film or Video. Each
Sub-Division is a Separate Competition. Once the
“Submission Form” is submitted to Impa, “The Selection Committee decides the “Sub-Division” Number
based on the duration of the Film or Video”. All Submitted
Films or Videos shall be considered for “Impa Award” based on the following
parameters: Level of Competition, Division of Competition, Sub-Division of
Competition, Type of the Film or Video and Category of the Award.
Special
Award Section: There will be various Special “Impa International Awards”
Section from IMPA without competition. This Special ‘Impa international Awards’
Section is included in all the above said three Levels & three Divisions.
INTERNATIONAL Level Film Competition
This
International Level Film Competition is for the films of any TYPE which are
made in any language (which includes silent films also) of the World and the
film may belong to any country of the World. This rule is applicable for all
Divisions.
Your film,
produced in any type, any country of the World and in any choice of your
language, you can contest in this International Level Competition. You are
qualified and you can participate in this IMPA International Film Festival
Bangalore.
Clarification: You
have produced a film (Any Type) in Guatemala in Achi Language. You are eligible
to contest in this International Level Competition. You have produced a film in
Ethiopia in Gumuz Language. You are eligible to contest in this International
Level Competition. You have produced a film in Thailand in Thai Language. You
are eligible to contest in this International Level Competition. You have
produced a film in India in Kannada Language. You are eligible to contest in
this International Level Competition.
When the
above said clarifications are clear, all eligible films (Any Type) which are
qualified can participate in this International Level Competition of IMPA
Awards.
Next
Question is: How many different categories of IMPA Awards are
there? and in how many categories can I contest in the
International Level Competition? To help you out, we have given a
separate “List of Categories
of IMPA AWARDS Common to International Level, National Level & Language
Level”. Please go through the list and “CHOOSE” all the IMPA
Award categories, which are applicable to “YOUR CONTESTING FILM”. You are eligible
to contest in any number of IMPA Award categories as “YOU WISH”. For each IMPA
Award category, You have to fill up separate application form.
NATIONAL (Country) Level Film
Competition
This
National (Country) Level Film Competition is for the films of any TYPE which
are made in a ‘Particular Country’ ( For example – may be made in India, Australia,
America, Egypt, United Kingdom, Brazil, Etc.,), in a Language (includes silent
films also) which belongs to the ‘Country’ where the film is made, should
contest only in that ‘Country’ where the film is made. This rule is applicable
for all Divisions.
In case, the
films which are made in a ‘Particular Country’ ( For example – may be made in
India, Australia, America, Egypt, United Kingdom, Brazil, Etc.,), in any
language (which includes silent films also) of the World, such films have “TWO”
contest options. One is, such films can contest in the ‘Country’ where the film
is made AND the second option is that such film can also contest in any
‘Country’s National Level Competition’ where the language of the film is
‘SPOKEN’.
Clarification: If a
film is made in India in a Greek language, this film can contest in
‘Indian National Level Competition’ as well as in ‘Greece & Cyprus National
Level Competitions’. If a film is made in America in a Chinese
Language, it can contest in American National Level Competition as
well as in Chinese National Level Competition. If a film is made in
German language in Germany, that film can contest in Germany, Austria,
Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Brazil, The Czech Republic, Denmark,
Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Namibia, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Vatican City
National Level Competitions as well. If a film is made in Kannada
language in America or in any other Country, such film can contest in the
‘Country’ where the film is made and also in ‘Indian National Level Competition’
as well. FINALLY, If a film is made as a ‘Silent Movie’, such film can contest
in the country where the film is made and such film
absolutely can contest in ‘ANY Country’s National Level
Competition’.
When the
above said clarifications are clear, all the eligible films are
qualified and can participate in this National Level Competition of
IMPA Awards. The applicant should be very careful in selecting the
‘Country and The Language Spoken’, before applying for the IMPA Award.
Just for
your information, a list of eligible ‘Countries of The World’
is provided for your ready reference. Please go through it and if the
Country you belong to is not there in the list,
please inform us. we will be happy to include your
Country’s name into the list.
Next Question
is: How many & what categories of IMPA Awards are
there? and in how many categories can I contest in the ‘National
Level Competition’? To help you out, we have given a separate “List of Categories of IMPA AWARDS Common

LANGUAGE Level Film
Competition
This
‘Language Level Film Competition’ is for the films of any TYPE, in which
language they are made only. Here the ‘Language’ includes ‘Silent’ films also.
The ‘Language’ of film may be any of the ‘Languages’ of The World and The
Language may belong to any ‘Single Country’ or any number of ‘Countries’ of The
World. This rule is applicable for all Divisions.
Your film
may be produced in any ‘Country’ of The World and in any choice of your
language, you can contest in this ‘Language Level Competition’. You can contest
only in, ‘Particular Language Category’ in which your film is produced. You
will not have any other ‘CHOICE’ to contest in any other ‘Language Category’
other than the ‘Language’ in which your film is produced. If you are a
filmmaker, you are qualified and you can participate in this ‘Language Level
Competition’ of IMPA International Film Festival Bangalore.
Clarification: If
your film is produced in ‘Kannada Language’ in Karnataka, in India, or in
America or in any Country of The World, you are eligible to contest in “Kannada Language Level Competition” of
IMPA International Film Festival Bangalore. If your film is produced in ‘German

should very carefully note that the film should compete in that language
level competition only, in which language that film is
produced and not in any other language level competition of IMPA

Special Impa International Awards Section
There will
be various Special “Impa International Awards” Section from IMPA without
competition. This Special ‘Impa international Awards’ Section is included in
all the above said three Levels & three Divisions.
There will
be three Special “Impa International Awards” Section for which there is no need
to ‘Apply for Award’ by the filmmakers. The submitted Application Form itself
is the gateway for these Awards. One is “Impa Special Award” Section, the
Second one is “Impa Special Jury Award” Section and the third one is “IMPA
Chairman’s Award” Section. Under these three Sections of awards Impa may grant
the applied Award or any type of category of the ‘Awards’, which Impa may feel
that somebody really deserves the ‘Award’. These Awards may “Multiply in
Numbers”, if deserving films & people are more.
IMPA is also
planning to issue “Some
More IMPA AWARDS” which will be announced shortly.

Who can apply for THE IMPA AWARDS?
Anyone who
applies for THE IMPA AWARD should be more than 18 years old.
Firstly The Producer of the
short film whose name is in the “Title Card” can apply for any category of the
‘Awards’. The “Won Award
Citation” will belong to that person whose name is written
as “Primary Individual
Recipient”. If more than one recipient is there, they are also
eligible to get the “IMPA
Award Citation”.
Secondly, if
your film ‘Producer’ is not interested, if your name is there in the “Title
Card” of the film, you can become ‘The Applicant’. You should obtain the
requisite authority from the producer or from the “Right Holder” (The
authorisation letter should be in English language only) to ‘Apply’ for this
IMPA International Film Festival Bangalore and “ATTACH” the
‘Permission Letter Copy’ in “JPEG” Format
to your ‘Application Form’. After the above process, “You Can Apply” in
your name & address for any category of the ‘Awards’. The “Won Award Citation” will
belong to that person whose name is written as “Primary Individual Recipient”. If
more than one recipient is there, they are also eligible to get the “IMPA Award Citation”.
Thirdly, for
the announced ‘Award Categories’, if someone had put his/her hard work &
creativity and his/her name is “not
mentioned in the Title Card” of the film (Including “Crew
Members”), there is no problem, that person still deserves an ‘Award’. “The Producer” of the
film OR “Any Person” whose
‘Name’ is there in the title card and holding the requisite authority from the
producer or from the “Right Holder” (The authorisation letter should be in
English language only), can apply for that category of ‘Award’ with that
person’s name even though the person’s name is not in the title card. The
Permission Letter Copy from the producer or from the Right Holder (The
authorisation letter should be in English language only) in “JPEG” Format should
be “ATTACHED” to
the ‘Application Form’. The “Won
Award Citation” will belong to that person whose name is
written as “Primary
Individual Recipient”. If more than one recipient is there,
they are also eligible to get the “IMPA
Award Citation”.
Fourthly, if
the Film is in Public Domain, Applicant can make an Affidavit (in the Court or
with NOTARY by taking the help of an Advocate) stating that he is Applying for
an IMPA AWARD to the Innovative Motion Pictures Academy. You just show the
above paragraphs to the advocate and tell the purpose, they make the draft for
you. The Affidavit should be in English language only and in “JPEG” Format and
should be “ATTACHED” to
the ‘Application Form’. The “Won
Award Citation” will belong to that person whose name is
written as “Primary
Individual Recipient”. If more than one recipient is there,
they are also eligible to get the “IMPA
Award Citation”.
Please go
through carefully all listed “Awards” with “Code Number” and “Note Down” in how
many number of ‘Awards’, your “Contesting
Short Film” comes, and is eligible to contest. You are
permitted to apply and contest for all your noted-down and listed ‘Awards’. You
should use a separate “Application Form” for each ‘Award’.

collect it by visiting the IMPA office or you can collect it through Post.
(7) Is IIFFB an Online Function or a Live Function?
It will be an Online Event. There will be no Live Function.
(8) What about Laurel?
All the
applicants will get the concerned “LAUREL” from IMPA, depending upon their
position in the festival, after the end of the monthly IIFFB.
(9) IIFFB includes from which year to which year?
There are 3 Divisions. The Details are given in the website.
(10) For which film makers is this festival IIFFB?
This
Festival is for Indian Film Makers as well as Foreign Film Makers. IIFFB is for
all “TYPES” of Films & Videos.
(11) What is the Entry Fee?
For Submission of
your Film or Video there is no “ENTRY FEE”. As of today, almost all submissions
have received the IMPA AWARD in different category. PLEASE READ THIS CONTENT CAREFULLY POINT BY POINT: 1] You please send your E-mail to us for Application Form. We
will send IMPA AWARD SUBMISSION FORM to you via through our E-mail
and fill the Form carefully. THERE IS
NO ENTRY FEE. Send the form to us immediately. Our Email
is impavgg@gmail.com . 2] We send your submission form (Film or Video)
to our jury members and we will get the result. 3] If the jury result is “NEGATIVE”, we will
intimate to you in one or two days. 4] If the jury result is “POSITIVE” and your IMPA AWARD is GUARANTEED, we will send
another application, where you will fill all the details once again. In few
days you will receive the Communication.

The IMPA
Award “STATUETTE” & “CITATION” are very BIG. All IMPA Award winners will
get the The IMPA AWARD STATUETTE & CITATION.
(14) Is there any Cash Price?
NO, there is No Cash Price.
(15) What is the duration of submitting film?
There is “NO” Duration of film is fixed.
(16) In what format we have to submit our film?
Digital
formats like DVD or USB Flash Drive (Pen Drive) or Uploaded into the Internet
Cloud or in a Website or in an Online Video Platform (OVP) like YouTube, MP4
Video Format, Etc, are eligible for submission. More details are given in the
website.
(17) What is the last date for submitting our film?
Last day of every month.
(18) How different is your IMPA film festival?
This film
festival is completely different and unique in its nature when compared to all
the other film festivals of the world. Go through the website completely, you
will understand it.

film to the festival?
Send Email to us, we will send you the Submission Form. Fill the Word Format Application Form without
any mistake and give details. Upload the Word Format Application Form to your

(20) Do I give up or transfer any rights of my film?
No, they will be with you only.
(21) Do your festival accept online entries?
Yes, you can submit your application online.
(22) Does
your film festival accept screenplay, music, photography categories for IMPA
AWARD?
Yes. Please
go through the list of categories of IMPA AWARDS given in the
Website.
(23) Can
I submit the URL of my film which is already uploaded
in Vimeo or YouTube, etc.?
Yes. You can submit.
(24) Can I send multiple entries of my different films?
Yes. You can send.
(25) When will I come to know that my
submitted film is selected for the festival?
Within 7 days of the next month of every submission.
(26) Can I withdraw my official submission?
No, once officially submitted, no withdrawal.
(27) Can
I submit my Film to the other Film festivals
after submitting to your Film festival?
Yes. You can submit.
(28) Are Subtitles compulsory?
Yes. But in a rare case, IMPA accepts without
subtitles.
(29) What
attachments are required to be submitted along with my Film to your Festival?
Duly Filled
application form.
(30) Is it an Online Film festival and an Awards event?
Yes. But No
Live Award Distribution.
(31) What information does IMPA collect from submitters?
All required information is asked in the application form.
(32) Can I submit my Film, after the deadline is over?
YES, You can. But the Submission will be taken for the Next
Month IIFFB.
(33) Can I change my entry category of a submitted film?
Yes. You should take permission from IMPA, and then you can make
changes.
(34) Can I get judge’s rating & note?
NO. It will not be revealed, as it is strictly confidential.
(35) Can judges see other judges’ ratings & notes?
No. They will not come to know.
(36) Can I monitor my judge’s progress?
No. Even IMPA does not interfere with judges.
(37) How much is the Festival Ticket?
No. There is no ticket for the Film Festival.

ABOUT THE CHAIRMAN OF IMPA
About The Chairman of IMPA: Venkatesh G. Gajanana is
a simple man and a ‘Spiritual Master’ who got a new name as ‘Amatra Brahman’
from his guru. He declares himself as a 20 year old ‘Youth’ even though his
physical body [12/10/1954] is 71 years old. He keeps a low profile and wants to
be inconspicuous. He is a present generation fully updated youth, and a
voracious reading personality with multiple talents and skills. His day starts
at 2.25 AM and retires to bed at 11.00 PM. He is Healthy. No Daily Medicines.
For the past 40 years, he never admitted to Hospital. He uses AMATRA HEALING
POWDER, Hale and Healthy.

The Law of

The Mission
Venkatesh G. Gajanana distributing food to inmates of an
anathaashram. He is doing this service since 1994.
Venkatesh G.
Gajanana is working for ‘The Mission’ assigned by his guru Shri Mahavatara
Babaji. This mission is now his ‘Life’s Purpose’. Entire funds generated from
all his commercial activities, including “Funds Saved”
from “IMPA International Film Festival Bangalore” are
utilised for ‘Social Welfare Services’ like –
1. Elders-Vruddhashrama (Oldage Home). 2. Children-Anaathashrama (Orphanage).
3. Free education to poor people – Nursery to Higher education. 4. Free skill
enhancement and technical training and workshops to poor people. 5. Amatra
Nature Healing Centre for vibrant health and long life for poor people. 6. Many
more free services to poor people from Venkatesh G. Gajanana’s own organisation
called “Amatra Charitable Trust”.
Venkatesh G. Gajanana distributing woollen blankets to poor
people who are sleeping on streets in winter seasons. He is doing this service
since 1994.
